Who should I start if Gerald Everett is out for Week 11?

Game-day update: Gerald Everett has been ruled out for this week.

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett has been re-added to the injury list for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs after he was removed from the list on Friday. Everett left last week’s matchup against the 49ers with a groin injury and is currently listed as questionable for Week 11.

If Everett isn’t able to play this weekend, you’re left in a tough position because of his Sunday Night Football game time.

Who should I start in place of Gerald Everett at tight end

Tre’ McKitty, Chargers

McKitty took over the tight end role after Everett left last week’s game. Justin Herbert targeted him six times and he caught three of those passes for 21 yards. He’s rostered in only 0.1 percent of ESPN leagues, so he’s available if you need tight end help at the last minute.

Trey McBride, Cardinals

Zach Ertz is out this week and McBride will take his place. McBride has only four catches for 31 yards this season, but did play in 91 percent of offensive plays last week following Ertz’s departure. There’s limited upside but if for some reason you can’t get McKitty, McBride is an option.
