We’re one week into the 2022-23 NBA season and the injuries have started to pile up. Here’s a look at Tuesday’s injury report in the association, along with the fantasy/DFS implications of each injury.
NBA Injury Report: October 25
Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards
No injuries of note at this time.
Dallas Mavericks vs. New Orleans Pelicans
Tim Hardaway Jr. (foot) - OUT
Update - Hardaway Jr. has been officially ruled out for Tuesday’s game.
Hardaway Jr. being out gives more minutes to Spencer Dinwiddie and Josh Green in Dallas’ rotation.
Zion Williamson (hip) - OUT
Brandon Ingram (concussion) - OUT
Herb Jones (knee) - OUT
Update - Both Williamson and Jones have been ruled out for tonight’s game.
Ingram has already been ruled out and is in concussion protocol. If Williamson and Jones don’t play, Trey Murphy and Larry Nance Jr. could be in line for more minutes.
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (hip) - available
Josh Giddey (ankle) - OUT
Update - It turns out Gilgeous-Alexander will play after initially being ruled out. This seems like a day-to-day issue for SGA and his availability will depend on how he’s feeling that day.
Update - The Thunder have upgraded Gilgeous-Alexander to questionable but we’ll see if he actually ends up playing. For now, Mann and Joe are still good value plays in fantasy/DFS lineups.
With both starting guards out, look for both Tre Mann and Isaiah Joe to be solid pickups in DFS formats.
Kawhi Leonard (injury management) - OUT
Leonard is a late add to the injury report and is likely fine but just taking the day off. The Clippers have enough depth to beat the Thunder without Leonard, so they’ve chosen to give him some time off early in the season.
Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns
Donte DiVincenzo (hamstring) - out a week
DiVincenzo has been a rotation player so far in Golden State, so it’s hard to know exactly who will fill his role. Jordan Poole will likely take on more minutes, and the Warriors might give Moses Moody additional run.
