T20 World Cup 2022 standings in group, Super 12 stages

Here’s how the competition is shaping up during the group and Super 12 stages.

The 2022 T20 World Cup is finally here with the group stage kicking off October 16. Here’s a look at the standings in the group and Super 12 stage as the competition progresses.

T20 World Cup 2022 Group Stage Standings

Group A

Sri Lanka, 2-1, 4 points - advance to Super 12

Netherlands, 2-1, 4 points - advance to Super 12

Namibia, 1-2, 2 points

UAE, 1-2, 2 points

Group B

Zimbabwe, 2-1, 4 points - advance to Super 12

Ireland, 2-1, 4 points - advance to Super 12

Scotland, 1-2, 2 points

West Indies, 1-2, 2 points

The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 12 stage, where eight teams who have previously qualified directly are waiting. This is technically where the real T20 World Cup begins.

Pool 1

New Zealand, 3-1, 7 points

England, 3-1, 7 points

Australia, 3-1, 7 points

Sri Lanka, 2-3, 4 points

Ireland, 1-3, 3 points

Afghanistan, 0-3, 2 points

New Zealand and England advance to the semifinals with a superior net run rate.

Pool 2

India, 4-1, 8 points

Pakistan, 3-2, 6 points

South Africa, 2-2, 5 points

Netherlands, 2-3, 4 points

Bangladesh, 2-3, 4 points

Zimbabwe, 1-3, 3 points

India and Pakistan have advanced to the semifinals.

The top two teams in each pool will make the semifinal round. The winner of Pool 1 will play the runner-up in Pool 2, while the winner of Pool 2 will play the runner-up of Pool 1.
