The Houston Texans will be without their starting quarterback in Week 3, as Tyrod Taylor has a hamstring injury, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Taylor will get an MRI on Monday, but has already been ruled out per Rapoport. Tylor will be replaced by rookie Davis Mills, who took over against the Browns on Sunday.
Taylor was having a good game before his hamstring injury, as he completed 10-of-11 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown, while adding one rush attempt for 15 yards and another touchdown before halftime. Davis Mills wasn’t as efficient, completing 8-of-18 passes for 102 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Mills was a project coming out of Stanford and will now be forced into starting Week 3 in primetime. The Panthers D/ST is worth streaming in fantasy football on Thursday Night Football, while Brandin Cooks may be the only Houston player worth starting in that matchup.
