New Orleans Saints All-Pro wide receiver Michael Thomas has been at odds with the organization for quite some time and publicly aired his frustrations on Monday via Twitter.

After it was reported on Saturday that the three-time Pro Bowler missed months of phone calls from the Saints, Thomas took to his Twitter account early Monday morning to tweet a pseudo-cryptic message...

Later on in the evening, the former Ohio State wideout liked a series of no-so cryptic tweets spelling out his frustrations related to his surgery decision...

Following a rocky 2020 season, Thomas’ relationship with the Saints further fractured when he elected to wait until June to get ankle surgery, a decision head coach Sean Payton was not pleased about. The longtime NO head man declined to comment on Thomas’ social media outbursts today.

Even with a rapidly deteriorating relationship, the Saints would be hard pressed to trade their top receiver under any circumstance. Thomas signed a record five-year, $100 million contract extension in July of 2019 and according to ESPN’s Bill Barnwell, New Orleans would have to eat just under $33 million in dead cap if they were to pull the trigger on a trade.
