Backup packers running back A.J. Dillon was working with the first team today as starter Aaron Jones worked on the side as he rehabbed a hamstring injury, per Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Tom Silverstein. There isn’t any other reporting on the injury at this point, so we don’t know the severity at this time, but the fact he was on the side is probably a good time.
Jones has been relatively healthy in his career so far. The team will likely be extremely conservative with a hamstring injury at this point in training camp. We could see him stay out of full-speed practices for a while.
Backup A.J. Dillon would get any start that Jones wasn’t available for and take on a big workload. He is one of the better fantasy backups in the league, as he’s on a strong offense where the running back gets plenty of scoring opportunities.
