Chelsea is getting a new star striker with a massive transfer deal. The Blues have paid Inter Milan €115 million for the services of Romelu Lukaku, one of the biggest stars in the world in attack. Lukaku returns to the Premier League with the move. He previously played for Chelsea from 2011-14, but is most well-known for his stints at Everton and Manchester United.

Lukaku rediscovered his form at Inter Milan, scoring 47 goals in 72 league appearances while helping the club break Juventus’ long run of domestic titles. The Belgium international is coming off a season with 30 total goals in 44 appearances across all competitions.

Chelsea immediately gets a major threat in front of goal for next season. The Blues have been underwhelmed with Timo Werner’s performance so far. With Olivier Giroud already gone and Tammy Abraham likely on the way out, Chelsea had to add a major talent to contend for the Premier League crown and defend its Champions League title.

Chelsea is +500 to win the Premier League and +800 to win the Champions League this upcoming season, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. Lukaku’s arrival will boost those odds once the club makes the official announcement.
