NASCAR returned to the track this past weekend at Watkins Glen in New York following a two-week Olympic break. The Xfinity Series ran the Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey 200 on Saturday and Ty Gibbs took home the checkered flag.

The Xfinity Series has six races remaining until it starts its 12-driver playoff. The playoff opens on September 25 at the Alsco Uniforms 302 in Las Vegas and crowns a champion on November 6 at Phoenix Raceway.

Austin Cindric has dominated the circuit this season, winning a series-leading four races and eight stages. The most notable driver is Riley Herbst, who is currently in 12th place in points, but drops to 13th and out of the playoffs in the projections. Drivers will get bonuses for race and stage wins, as well as standing at the end of the regular season. Herbst has some work to do.
