Report: Reggie Jackson signs two-year deal to stay with Clippers

Veteran point guard Reggie Jackson has signed a two-year, $22 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers in free agency, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. Jackson previously signed a contract with the Los Angeles Clippers for the veteran’s minimum worth one-year, $2.3 million.

One of the feel-good stories of the 2021 NBA postseason was the resurrection of Jackson’s career after being waived by the Detroit Pistons just 16 months earlier. The 10-year veteran stepped up huge in the absence of Kawhi Leonard in the Western Conference Finals, averaging 20.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.3 steals a game against the Phoenix Suns. Following their elimination, he emotionally talked about his journey and what the Clippers meant to him.
