UPDATE: Jefferson’s injury appears to have a sprained AC joint in his shoulder, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This appears to be good news and “nothing serious” according to Schefter’s source. Jefferson will have further testing though.

Justin Jefferson stayed on the ground for serval moments and grabbed for his left arm after landing on his shoulder after a catch in practice Friday, per The Athletic’s Arif Hasan. We have video below and it looked like he was in quite a bit of pain. He was attended by trainers and walked to the facility under his own power.

Hopefully we’ll know more soon, but if Jefferson were to miss any real time, the team isn’t exactly stacked at the position after Jefferson and Adam Thielen. They did just sign Dede Westbrook, but he has yet to practice after suffering a torn ACL last season.

Jefferson was a revelation for the Minnesota Vikings in his rookie year last season. He caught 88-of-125 passes for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns. Justin Herbert managed to beat him out for Rookie of the Year, but he had a good claim on winning the award as well.

We’ll update this article with any new information as soon as it comes in.
