The European domestic soccer league gets underway this month and France’s Ligue 1 is the first top-level league to start its season. AS Monaco and Nantes kick off the season Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET. Saturday brings two matches including league heavyweight Paris Saint-Germain facing Troyes. Sunday closes out the first weekend with seven matches from 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

PSG is expected to run away with things once again, but there is still plenty of fun to be had in the top French league. Of course, as is often the case with international sports, it can be difficult to find a TV or streaming option for watching the matches.

Ligue 1 has an exclusive broadcasting deal with beIN SPORTS. The channel is available on a variety of cable providers in the United States, including DISH, Verizon FIOS, RCN, and Cox Communications among others, and their accompanying online streaming services. If you do not have access via cable TV, you can view it through Sling TV, which includes some trial options if you have never used them.
