Best MLB team stacks for DFS on Wednesday, August 4th

We go over some of the best MLB teams to stack for DFS on DraftKings for Wednesday’s main slate.

Should you pay up for Max Scherzer in his Dodger Debut?

We have a 15-game schedule in the majors Wednesday, which means there are still multiple opportunities to come away with a win in DraftKings baseball DFS. The main slate has 11 games starting at 7:05 p.m. ET.

Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.

Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on Wednesday, August 4th.

Orioles vs. Yankees, 7:05 p.m. ET

Aaron Judge ($4,900)
Gleyber Torres ($4,400)
Giancarlo Stanton ($4,200)

The New York Yankees have been on an absolute tear recently, winning 4 out of their last 5 games, which includes a 13-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night. New York could be due for another offensive outburst tonight against Orioles’ starter Matt Harvey. The former Mets star pitcher has struggled this season with a 6-10 record and 6.20 ERA.

Harvey has not fared well on the road with a 5.77 ERA and allowing opponents to hit .290 at the plate. DraftKings Sportsbook has the run total currently set at 9, which New York could easily handle by themselves. Giancarlo Stanton is a great option for this team stack as he’s hitting .375 with a home run and 3 RBI against Harvey.

Braves vs. Cardinals, 8:15 p.m. ET

Freddie Freeman ($5,100)
Austin Riley ($4,400)
Dansby Swanson ($4,200)

Our second DFS team stack will be the Atlanta Braves, who will be facing off against St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher J.A. Happ. The 38-year-old pitcher was recently acquired at the trade deadline, but struggled this season with the Minnesota Twins. He had a 5-6 record and 6.77 ERA in 19 starts. In his final start with the Twins, Happ allowed 10 hits, 9 earned runs, and 4 walks in 3.0 IP.

The Braves’ offense, which has some sluggers up and down the lineup should be able to tee off on Happ. Both left and right-handed hitters are hitting over .300 at the plate against the 38-year-old starter.

Red Sox vs. Tigers, 7:10 p.m. ET

Jonathan Schoop ($4,200)
Jeimer Candelario ($3,400)
Robbie Grossman ($2,900)

To wrap-up our team stacks for Wednesday night’s main slate, we are going to look at the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers have won 3 out of their last 5 games and averaging 5.3 runs per game in those victories. Detroit will be going up against Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez, who has a 7-6 record and 5.60 ERA.

The 28-year-old has not had much success on the road this season with a .292 opponents batting average and 5.21 ERA. Tigers outfielder Robbie Grossman is a cheap value play in DFS at $2900 and is hitting .364 in 11 at-bats against Rodriguez. Grossman is averaging 11 FPPG in his last three games.
