Why Tee Higgins will go OVER or UNDER receiving yards, TDs for 2021 NFL season

One of the few bright spots last year in an otherwise forgettable Bengals roster, wideout Tee Higgin returns in 2021 with heightened expectations.

Can Tee Higgins put up 1,000 receiving yards in his Sophomore season?

Despite a 4-11-1 record and a major injury at quarterback, the Cincinnati Bengals had a few bright lights on their roster in 2020. One of those, wide receiver Tee Higgins, returns in 2021 with heightened expectations.

Here, we take a look at the prop bets on the table for Higgins on DraftKings Sportsbook ahead of the 2021 NFL season and make our picks.

1050.5 receiving yards: Over (-115) or Under (-115)

Our pick: Over

While No. 5 overall pick Ja’Marr Chase expects to see a large number of targets, most of those will replace the share previously held by A.J. Green, the long-time Bengals wideout who departed in free agency earlier this offseason. Higgins, who saw 108 passes as a rookie and already has a feel for the NFL game, should see that figure increase in 2021. With the additional game on the schedule, he doesn’t need to outperform last year’s numbers to go over 1,050.5 receiving yards. Burrow’s health plays a role here, but the early indications suggest a full return before Week 1.

5.5 receiving touchdowns: Over (-120) or Under (+100)

Our pick: Over

Only three teams scored fewer points last season than the Bengals, who have effectively only one way to go and some valid reasons to expect improvement. As a second-year player and de facto lead receiver in what portends to be a pass-heavy offense, Higgins should see at least as many scoring opportunities as he did last year, health permitting. He already went over 5.5 touchdowns once and has an extra game on the schedule available.
