Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill missed practice on Tuesday due to knee tendinitis, per NFL Network’s James Palmer. There doesn’t appear to be much concern over the injury, as the Chiefs will play it safe with their star receiver. If this injury is something that lingers and needs to be managed early in the season, the concern level from fans and fantasy players should get ramped up.
Hill has been one of the best receivers in the league over the last few years, which also coincides with the emergence of Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City has one of the best offenses in the league, but do have just two go-to receivers in Hill and tight end Travis Kelce. Losing Hill would be a major blow, so they will continue to be overly cautious with his health.
Mecole Hardman would be asked to step up in a big way if Hill were to miss time, but he has been consistent so far in his young career. If Hill were to miss more time, we would likely hear a lot more about who looks ready to step up out of Hardman, Byron Pringle, Cornell Powell and Demarcus Robinson.
