Deshaun Watson not at practice on Tuesday

Watson misses practice as his status remains in limbo.

Deshaun Watson has been present at Houston Texans training camp to keep from accruing fines, but after having his foot examined yesterday and returning, he is not at practice on Tuesday, per the Baltimore Sun’s Aaron Wilson. The Texans and Watson himself will likely be cautious with any hint of an injury in light of his ongoing trade request, especially with this being the first day the team practices in pads. And there is a good chance he would have practiced if the situation were different.

Watson is also under investigation for sexual assault, which likely has any trade request put into limbo. The team appears ready to move on with Tyrod Taylor as their quarterback while Watson goes through the motions to not be fined.

The two teams brought up the most in trade rumors have been the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins, but we don’t appear to be anywhere near any kind of movement on the trade front. Watson’s legal situation will be the deciding factor as we move forward.
