There will be boxing matches with bigger title implications this year, but Saturday, August 21st brings one of the highest profile bouts of the year. And it’s because of one man. Manny Pacquiao makes his return to the ring for the first time in two years and will face Yordenis Ugas for the WBA Super welterweight championship.
The fight will air on FOX Sports PPV and be available via purely live stream at YouTube PPV. The card will cost $74.99. The main card gets going at 9 p.m. ET and the main event is expected to begin around 11:30 p.m.
Pacquiao was scheduled to return for a megafight with WBC and IBF champ Errol Spence, Jr., but Spence had to withdraw two weeks ago due to an eye injury. Ugas was promoted from the co-feature to the main event to fight Pacquiao. Ugas holds the Super title that Pacquiao was stripped of in January due to inactivity.
Pacquiao enters the fight as a -380 favorite to win at DraftKings Sportsbook. Ugas is a +295 underdog. Pacquia had been sitting at -360, but the line moved in the 24 hours before the fight.
