Full starting grid for the New Holland 250 Xfinity race at Michigan International Speedway

NASCAR is headed to Michigan International Speedway this weekend and the Xfinity Series will host its New Holland 250. The race did not take place last year during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tyler Reddick won the race a year prior.

Xfinity points leader Austin Cindric has claimed the pole position for the race and A.J. Allmendinger will join him on the front row. NASCAR used a performance-metric formula this week for determining race order. The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in limited qualifying runs the past two years. The metric is split into 25 percent comes from a driver’s finishing position from the previous race, 25 percent comes from the car owner’s finishing position from the previous race, 35 percent comes from the team owner’s points ranking, and 15 percent comes from the fastest lap from the previous race.

Ty Gibbs is the pre-race favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, installed at +320 to win. He’s followed by Cindric at +450, Justin Allgaier at +650, Daniel Hemric at +750, and Harrison Burton at +800.
