With the 2021 Summer League in the books, it’s a good time to check on Rookie of Year odds for the 2021-22 season and see how the Vegas showcase has affected the lines. In the initial odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook, Cade Cunningham was the clear favorite ahead of Jalen Green and Evan Mobley. Jalen Suggs and Scottie Barnes rounded out the top five. Here’s the latest top five in Rookie of the Year futures after Summer League.

Cade Cunningham, +250
Jalen Green, +275
Jalen Suggs, +700
Evan Mobley, +800
Scottie Barnes, +1200

The top five hasn’t changed, but the two guards at the top of the draft are now essentially co-favorites after Summer League. Green was one of the standout rookies of the showcase, while Cunningham maintained his status as the consensus top player in the draft. Suggs jumped Mobley after Summer League. Barnes saw his odds fall from +800 to +1200.

The surprises come in the next five selections. In the initial odds, these players were James Bouknight, Davion Mitchell, Jonathan Kuminga, Josh Giddey and Alperen Sengun. Here’s who ranks 6-10 in Rookie of the Year futures after Summer League.

Alperen Sengun, +1200
Davion Mitchell, +1800
Jonathan Kuminga, +2800
James Bouknight, +2800
Jalen Johnson, +3000

Johnson enters the top 10 after a big Vegas performance. Sengun jumps to No. 6 after being 10th, going from +2500 to +1200. Mitchell had a strong Summer League and stays where he was previously. Kuminga and Bouknight saw their stock fall.

It appears to be a two-horse race with Cunningham and Green, but Suggs and Mobley could offer some value at these odds. Both are going to get opportunities to play right away and might be on better teams record-wise.
