NASCAR in action this weekend at the road course in Indianapolis, and it also means we get qualifying for the seventh time in the 2021 season. The organization cut back on qualifying for the second straight year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Most races this season have used a performance-metric formula, but eight tracks have traditional qualifying.

The Xfinity Series is in action with the Pennzoil 150 at the Brickyard on Saturday. The race is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET, and is preceded by qualifying at 10:05 a.m. Each of the 44 drivers entered in the race will run a single lap on the course. The driver with the fastest lap will claim the pole position on the front row and the driver with the slowest lap will be slotted in last in the starting lineup. If a driver has to change cars following qualifying but before the green flag drops at 4 p.m., they will be bumped to the back of the pack.

Heading into qualifying, Austin Cindric is the favorite to claim the pole at DraftKings Sportsbook, installed at +200. He’s followed by A.J. Allmendinger (+250), Ty Gibbs (+350), Daniel Hemric (+1300), Justin Allgaier (+1400), and Kevin Harvick (+1600).

Here is the full entry list for Saturday’s 2021 Pennzoil 150 Xfinity series race. We’ll provide updates with each driver’s time and how the starting lineup settles.
