NASCAR’s Xfinity Series returns to action on Saturday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The junior circuit is running the Pennzoil 150 at the Brickyard. This marks the second consecutive year the circuit is running a road race at Indy rather than a traditional oval. The race gets underway at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 14th. It will air on NBC Sports Network and be available for live stream at NBC Sports.
The starting lineup will not be determined until Saturday morning when qualifying happens at 10:05 a.m. The Indy road course is one of eight tracks where NASCAR is running traditional qualifying this season. Each driver will run one lap with the fastest driver getting pole position and the slowest slotted at the back of the line. If a driver has to change cars after qualifying but before the green flag drops for the race, they will be moved to the back of the starting lineup.
Austin Cindric is the favorite to win at DraftKings Sportsbook, installed at +180. He’s followed by A.J. Allmendinger (+220), Ty Gibbs (+450), Daniel Hemric (+1200), and Justin Allgaier (+1400). The defending champ is Chase Briscoe who has only raced once on the Xfinity this season, spending most of this time in Cup Series racing.
