UPDATE: Evans is questionable to return with a knee injury, per Jim Wyatt. He won’t return in a meaningless game, so questionable means out in this case, but could mean he’s not severely injured.

Tennessee Titans backup running back Darrynton Evans was injured early on in their first preseason game. He pulled up limping on an outside run, possibly meaning a hamstring injury, which he has had trouble with in the past. We’ll get more information and update soon. (Update: His injury as listed as a knee injury).

Jeremy McNichols has taken over for Evans. Evans had started off well, rushing four times for 26 yards and catching one pass for two more yards. Evans was slated to backup Derrick Henry and serve as a receiving back. If he misses any regular season time, McNichols is next in line for work.
