The PGA Tour is back in Greensboro, North Carolina for the 2021 Wyndham Championship. The first round teed off Thursday morning and plenty of players have a whole lot to play for beyond just the Wyndham purse.
This is the PGA Tour’s last tournament before the FedExCup Playoffs begin next week at The Northern Trust. The top 125 golfers in the FedExCup rankings will play in the Northern Trust and then the top 70 following that tournament advance to the following week’s BMW Championship.
For this week though, players on the edge of the top 125 have the most to gain. Last year, Jim Herman won the tournament by a two-stroke margin over Billy Horschel. This year, Webb Simpson (+1000) opened the tournament as the favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook. He was followed by Hideki Matsuyama (+1400), Louis Oosthuizen (+1600), and Patrick Reed (+2000). It’s worth noting Patrick Reed withdrew from the tournament.
Round 2 of the tournament gets underway on Friday with tee times starting at 6:50 a.m. ET. You can watch coverage of Round 2 of the tournament Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. ET on the Golf Channel. Additionally, PGA Tour Live will air coverage of featured groups on Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.

1:10 p.m.: Adam Scott, Brandt Snedeker, Harold Varner III
