Why Kareem Hunt will go over on rushing yards prop bet for 2021 NFL season

The Cleveland Browns made it to the postseason in 2020-21 and even got the franchise’s first playoff victory since 1994 with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. QB Baker Mayfield returns to lead a loaded offense and WR Odell Beckham Jr. should be back after recovering from a torn ACL. Cleveland’s defense looks to be stout as well with Myles Garrett headlining that unit.

Hunt rushed for 841 yards last year, but that number was inflated due to five starts with RB Nick Chubb missing time. The latter was the far more efficient runner, with Hunt doing most of his work as a change-of-pace back. There’s reason to think Hunt’s touches out of the backfield will go down, but not to the level where he goes under 650.5 rushing yards. There’s always the chance Chubb misses time again, but Cleveland appears committed to having Hunt involved. Throw in an extra game and the over is the play here.
