The Seattle Seahawks had a shaky offseason when it appeared franchise QB Russell Wilson wanted out. Ultimately, Wilson is back in the fold with a dynamic wide receiver duo and a strong running game. Seattle’s offensive line and defense still need work, but the team is a contender as long as Wilson is under center.
Here, we’ll take a look at the prop bets on the table for Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett on DraftKings Sportsbook ahead of the 2021 NFL season and make our picks.
1000.5 receiving yards: Over (-115) or Under (-115)
Our pick: Over
Lockett is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and there’s no major threat to his workload aside from injury. The Kansas State product has stayed healthy in his NFL career, starting 46 out of the 48 games over the last three seasons. With the addition of a 17th game, expect Lockett to easily top this line.
86.5 receptions: Over (-115) or Under (-115)
Our pick: Over
The wide receiver was targeted 110 times in 2019 and 132 times in 2020. He finished with 82 catches in 2019 and 100 in 2020. That’s good for a 75 percent reception rate. The Seahawks are primarily going to be throwing the ball to Lockett and D.K. Metcalf, so the targets will continue to be there. Take the over here.
7.5 receiving TDs: Over (-120) or Under (-110)
Our pick: Over
In the past three seasons, Lockett has 28 receiving touchdowns. As mentioned above, he’s going to continue getting targets in a high-powered offense more likely to utilize Wilson’s arm this upcoming season. Throw in an extra game and this appears to be easy money on the over. Another thing to note; Lockett is amazing in the red zone. He rarely drops passes thrown to him in this area of the field.
