The New York Jets have once again hit the reset button ahead of the 2021-22 season, bringing in Robert Saleh as head coach and BYU phenom Zach Wilson at quarterback in an attempt to put the franchise back in contention. The Jets leave a lot to be desired at the skill positions in this rebuild, but that opens the door for youngsters early on in their NFL career to make a mark.
Here, we’ll take a look at the prop bets on the table for New York Jets RB Michael Carter on DraftKings Sportsbook ahead of the 2021 NFL season and make our picks.
650.5 rushing yards: Over (-110) or Under (-120)
Our pick: Under
Carter is currently sitting at the top of the Jets depth chart, but what’s to stop him from taking a back seat to any of New York’s other running backs? Tevin Coleman has struggled with injuries, but is a veteran runner. Ty Johnson and La’Mical Perine both saw significant work last season with the team. There’s a good chance Carter, a fourth-round pick, isn’t the top running back in terms of carries next season. We’d stay away from player props in this backfield, but the under would be the line to take here if any.
