The credit card you signed up for at your college orientation in exchange for a free t-shirt has found a new way to appeal to the FICO scores of young America.
It’s the Capital One College Bowl, with hosts Cooper & Peyton Manning!
If you’re reading this website, you’re likely familiar with Peyton. Cooper is his older brother, and the Senior Managing Director of Investor Relations for AJ Capital Partners. He got a real job because of a case of spinal stenosis found after signing with brother Eli and Dad Archie’s alma mater Ole Miss.
The hour-long weekly show pits two teams against each other, with 12 universities in total competing for $1 million in academic scholarships in a tournament format. They lean into natural rivalries when possible, with Alabama facing Auburn and UCLA taking on USC. Episode 3 ends the preliminary battles this week, and credit to the show for at least mentioning the academic and athletic achievements of the schools at the top of each round.
If you’re a trivia nerd, or a diehard Alabama fan looking to claim another national championship in something, this is the program for you. And while you can’t wager on it yet, look for DraftKings Sportsbook to put a pool together on some episodes later in the season.
