A hectic five-day 3x3 women’s basketball competition begins at the Tokyo Summer Olympics on Saturday, July 24 with eight teams playing in one pool. Team USA is the favorite to win the competition, but will be without Katie Lou Samuelson due to health and safety protocols surrounding COVID-19. The Americans are +110 to win gold, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. France is second at +250.

Fans and bettors can catch Saturday’s action across NBC’s family of networks as well as Peacock and NBCOlympics.com. You can also check in on the competition using the NBC Sports app, although you may need a cable login.

The USA is still integrating Jackie Young into the process for Samuelson, and the French are also the No. 1 team in the FIBA world rankings for 3x3.

Laetitia Guapo, Migna Toure, Marie-Eve Paget, and Ana-Maria Filip are the reigning European Champions, and chemistry is an important part of half-court basketball with a limited shot clock because you need to know where your teammates are going to be even faster. We’ll give Les Bleus the cover here while the USA should continue to improve as the tournament progresses.
