Best MLB team stacks for DFS on Wednesday, July 21st

The MLB is now the only show in town among the four major professional sports, and 15 games are on the slate for Wednesday, July 21st. This includes a doubleheader between the San Diego Padres and Atlanta Braves. Six games are on the DraftKings early slate this afternoon.

Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on Wednesday, July 21st.

Orioles vs. Rays, 12:10 p.m. ET

The Tampa Bay Rays have a dream pitching matchup against the Baltimore Orioles, who enter with the worst record in the American League. Keegan Akin will be on the mound to start for Baltimore, and it’s been a rough go for him. In 13 appearances and eight starts, he has an 0-5 record and 8.19 ERA. In his last six outings, Akin allowed 33 runs over 24.1 innings. Tampa Bay’s top sluggers should be aggressive at the plate this afternoon.

Mets vs. Reds, 12:35 p.m. ET

Oddsmakers at DraftKings Sportsbook set the run total at 10.5 for the game between the New York Mets and Cincinnati Reds, which is the highest of the day. The Mets are set up to have the better day at the plate going up against Reds starter Jeff Hoffman. He has not pitched since May 26th and has been on the injured list with a shoulder problem the last couple months. In 10 starts in his first season with the Reds, Hoffman has a 4.61 ERA and 3-4 record.

Royals vs. Brewers, 2:10 p.m. ET

The Milwaukee Brewers came out of the break swinging hot bats at the plate until Tuesday’s 5-2 loss to the Kansas City Royals. Prior to that, Milwaukee had scored seven or more runs in three straight games since returning from the All-Star Break. The Brewers should get closer to that run total going up against Brad Keller. He has a large sample size of 19 starts this season and has a 5.97 ERA and 6-9 record. This will be his first start since July 9th.
