DraftKings DFS now live in Louisiana

DraftKings announced on Friday, July 16th it has gone live with daily fantasy products in Louisiana. DraftKings received its DFS license from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board on Thursday and its DFS products are now live in approved parishes across Louisiana. This marks the 44th state in the United States to offer DraftKings daily fantasy sports.

With the launch, DraftKings is offering new customers a free credit to play in a $3 paid contest of their choice if they place a minimum $5 first deposit. Additionally, all new users can get a deposit bonus up to $500 based on their first deposit. Starting with a $5 deposit, a user will receive bonus credit equal to 20% of the deposit amount up to $500.

For the Friday launch, there’s a full slate of baseball and a Gold Cup showdown contest to keep you occupied. Heading into the weekend, there will be contests for UFC Fight Night, the final two rounds of the British Open, NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series races in New Hampshire, and a host of Esports offerings.

DraftKings customers in Louisiana will also have the opportunity to participate in charity-driven contests that benefit organizations making a difference. For example, one such contest will raise funds to plant one million trees by Earth Day 2022 in collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation.
