The Thunderdome era has finally come to an end.
With the WWE set to return to touring in front of live crowds, the July 12 edition of Monday Night Raw will be the final show to take place from the fan-less Thunderdome at the Yuengling Center in Tampa. The show will also serve as the “go-home” show to next Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view with several stories reaching a fever pitch before the event and one title match being built for the night afterwards.
*Note: This episode of Raw was taped earlier this week, but we will stay away from spoilers.
How to watch
Date: Monday, July 12
Time: 8 p.m. ET
Live stream: USANetwork.com/live or USA Network App
With all of the Raw competitors for the Money in the Bank ladder match determined, Monday will surely see them trying to gain the edge on each other before Sunday’s showcase. In particular, Ricochet is set to face John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere match just six days before the PPV. The two high flyers have tried to one-up each other over the last few weeks, so this will be a must-watch.
In the build to his WWE Championship opportunity at MITB, Kofi Kingston and fellow New Day member Xavier Woods picked up a win over Bobby Lashley and MVP this past week. Be on the lookout for one final fiery promo battle between the two camps to sell their MITB clash. Expect similar for the Raw Women’s Championship feud between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley.
It was announced this week that on the Raw following MITB, Raw Tag Team Champions A.J. Styles and Omos will put their titles on the line against the Viking Raiders. Just one week out from their championship clash in front of a live audience in Dallas, the two teams will square off in singles competition with Styles battling Ivar and Omos battling Erik.
