Friday night’s baseball slate brought us a couple of winning bets, starting with the Chicago White Sox (-136), who crushed the Baltimore Orioles 12-1 at Camden Yards. The White Sox broke the game open in the 6th and 7th innings, scoring 7 runs after only being up 2-1.
We picked our second win in the Braves-Marlins game. Atlanta starting pitcher Charlie Morton went over 6.5 strikeouts (-114), producing 7 strikeouts in 7.0 IP. Morton has now gone over 6.5 strikeouts in five straight games.
The only loss we took was a two-leg parlay with the Blue Jays (+110) and Athletics (-132). The Jays lost 7-1 on Friday night, while the Athletics lost 3-2 to the Rangers.
Can we pick up a couple of more wins on Saturday? Here we’re going to be tracking all the best MLB picks base on the odds and lines on DraftKings Sportsbook for today’s baseball action.
MLB picks for Saturday, July 10th
Anthony DeSclafani over 4.5 strikeouts (-134)
We are going to begin the day with a favorable player prop for San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani. DeSclafani has been amazing this season for the Giants with a 9-3 record and 2.84 ERA in 17 starts. He along with Kevin Gausman has been a dynamic duo at the top of San Francisco’s starting rotation.
DeSclafani has gone over 4.5 strikeouts in 10 out of his last 17 starts, which includes his last five outings. The 31-year-old pitcher has had some trouble at home this season with an ERA of 4.24, but has only given up 3 HRs. However, he’s facing the Nationals for the second time this season. In their first meeting on Jun. 11, DeSclafani had 8 strikeouts and allowed 2 hits and 1 walk in a complete game performance. In six home starts this season, he’s averaging 5.3 strikeouts per game. The Nationals’ offense only averages 8.31 strikeouts per game, but that goes up to 9.20 on the road. The juice is worth the squeeze for this strikeout prop.
Lucas Giolito over 6.5 strikeouts (-113)
Giolito is looking for a bounce back performance after his last start against the Detroit Tigers, where he gave up 10 hits and 6 earned runs in 5.0 IP. The White Sox starter has struggled on the road with a 3-2 record and 5.18 ERA in 8 starts this season.
But the good news for Giolito is that he’s facing the Orioles, who he had success against earlier this season. On May 30 against Baltimore, the 26-year-old produced a season-high 12 strikeouts in 7.0 IP. Giolito has gone over 6.5 strikeouts in 12 out of 17 starts, which includes 4 out of his last 6 outings. In his eight road stats, the White Sox pitcher has gone over his K prop six times. The Orioles’ offense is averaging 8.77 strikeouts per game this season and 8.02 strikeouts per game at home.
Freddy Peralta under 7.5 strikeouts (+105)
Peralta has been one of the best pitchers in the majors and will rightfully be heading to the 2021 MLB All-Star Game in Denver, CO. The 25-year-old has electrifying stuff and is one of the main reasons why Milwaukee is in first place in the NL Central. Peralta has gone under 7.5 strikeouts in 9 out of 17 starts, which includes all three starts against the Reds. In his last five road starts, Peralta is averaging 7.4 strikeouts per game.
