Hawks vs. Sixers DraftKings Free $5K pool picks for Game 2

We go over each category and give predictions for DraftKings pool for Game 2 in the Hawks-Sixers in second round of the 2021 NBA playoffs.

NBA: Atlanta Hawks at Philadelphia 76ers Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia 76ers will look to even their second round series at home against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, June 8th. Atlanta took Game 1 on Sunday, 128-124. Their small forward De’Andre Hunter is questionable with a knee injury, while Kris Dunn and Cam Reddish are both still out. Meanwhile, Joel Embiid is questionable to play with a knee injury for the 76ers.

Below is a look at a number of predictions ahead of Tuesday night’s game for the Free $5K DraftKings Pools - Playoff Edition (ATL-PHI).

Hawks vs. Sixers, Game 2 playoff pool picks

Which team will cover the spread? Hawks +5.5 or 76ers -5.5

Dropping the first two games at home in this series would be devastating for Philadelphia, so they should be plenty motivated to get a win on Tuesday night. Be sure to check the injury report before selecting this option, but regardless, we’re going 76ers -5.5 in this spot.

How many total points will be scored? Over or under 223.5

The first game of the series saw 252 total points scored, but we can expect a large drop off in Game 2. Both teams play well on the defensive end in terms of opponent shooting percentage, and they do not push the tempo as much as other teams in the NBA. We’ll take the under here.

Which team will reach 30 points first? Hawks or 76ers

Atlanta jumped out to a hot start in the first game of the series, winning the first quarter 42-27. The 76ers will make sure to not dig themselves into a hole this time out. Expect a strong start for Philadelphia, which will be the first team to get to 30 points.

Which team will have more 3-pointers made? Hawks or 76ers

Atlanta and Philadelphia have nearly identical three-point shooting percentages, but the Hawks attempt 3.6 more shots from long range than the 76ers on average. We’ll give Atlanta the 3-pointer edge here.

Who will have more points and rebounds? John Collins or Tobias Harris

Tobias Harris is definitely the play here. Through six postseason games, he is averaging 24.2 points and 10 rebounds per game. John Collins is going for just 13.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in this postseason. Harris is the easy choice.

How many points, rebounds and assists for Ben Simmons? Over or under 32.5

We’re going over. Ben Simmons has shot very well from the field this postseason, but he is really struggling from the free throw line. Still, the assists should reach double digits yet again with his rebound total likely to finish near the same. He is averaging 15.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 9.3 assists so far this postseason. Take the over.

How many points, rebounds and assists for Trae Young? Over or under 40.5

The under is the play. Trae Young has increased his scoring in the playoffs, but it should fall back toward his regular season average. He is not much of a rebounding threat and will not have enough assists to make up for that in this spot.

Which team will win the fourth quarter? Hawks or 76ers

Expect Philadelphia to start this game strong and build a sizable lead in the first half. It is certainly possible the 76ers have this game won in the fourth quarter, so they could rest their stars to get ready for Game 3. We’ll give the fourth quarter edge to the Hawks.
