The ring insides Hard Rock Stadium is pretty wet thanks to rain in Miami, and there’s no roof over the ring for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul bout. It means the logos on the mat are already moist, and it could get worse from here.
The rain started during the Jarrett Hurd vs. Luis Arias bout in the second round, and you could see a ring staffer working hard to get the ring, but especially the logos, as dry as possible.
Many boxing cards are held outside, but they’re usually in places like Las Vegas or Southern California where you don’t see a ton of inclement weather. But doing anything outdoors in June in South Florida is a roll of the dice, but it looks like it might start to get better here soon.
The radar indicates while there should be scattered showers in the area, they don’t appear too threatening. Let’s hope none of the fights are affected by the weather.
