Round two of the NBA playoffs have arrived and as the field whittles down, we draw one step closer to anointing a new champion. Like for round one, we’ll be breaking down DraftKings Sportsbook championship odds for each team as the postseason continues.
Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks effectively rained on the New York Knicks’ playoff parade, sending them home quickly in five games. In his first venture into the NBA postseason, Young embraced the role of villain and became the latest superstar to torment Madison Square Garden, averaging 29.1 points and 9.8 points for the entire series. With a strong supporting cast in tow, Young and the Hawks will now go toe-to-toe with the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers, a team they got blown out by twice during the regular season.
Atlanta Hawks odds to win NBA championship: +3300
Even with a first-round series victory, the Hawks are still longshots to with the whole thing, having to topple Philadelphia and Milwaukee or Brooklyn just to reach the Finals. While they’re a plucky upstart, stay away as their postseason journey will most likely stall out right here in the second round.
