Moneyline pick, best player prop for Dodgers vs. Braves on Friday

We go over some of the best betting options for Friday’s matchup between the LA Dodgers and Atlanta Braves.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves will start a three-game set at 7:20 p.m. ET. Julio Urias will be on the mound for the Dodgers, while the Cubs will start Ian Anderson. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Dodgers vs. Braves, 7:20 p.m. ET, ESPN+

Moneyline pick: Dodgers -130

The Dodgers are hoping that they can carry over their momentum from their 14-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday into tonight’s series opener against the Braves. Atlanta is coming off a four-game split against the Washington Nationals, where they averaged 4.75 runs per game.

Los Angeles will turn the ball over to Urias, who struggled in his last start against the San Francisco Giants. The 24-year-old pitcher allowed a season-high 11 hits (1 HR), 6 earned runs, 2 walks, and struck out 5 hitters in 5.0 IP. However, the good news for him and the Dodgers is that Urias has a record of 4-1 with a 2.53 ERA in 5 starts and allowed opponents to hit .168. Meanwhile, Anderson got roughed up in his last outing too against the New York Mets. But he’s been solid on the mound for the Braves with a 2-0 record, 3.07 ERA, and an opponents batting average of .222. I think the pitching will be on point in this game, but I like the Dodgers’ offense a little bit more than Atlanta’s right now.

Player Prop: Ian Anderson over 5.5 strikeouts (-103)

If the Braves want to keep up with the defending World Series champs tonight, it will ride on the arm of Anderson. The 23-year-old rookie has not looked like a rookie this season with a 4-2 record and 3.27 ERA in 10 starts. He has gone over 5.5 strikeouts in 7 out of 10 starts and in his last three home starts.
