The NASCAR Cup Series will head out west to Sonoma Speedway for the 2021 Toyota Save Mart 350. The race is scheduled for Sunday at 4:00 p.m. ET and will be televised on FS1.
Last year, we did not have the Toyota Save Mart 350 due to the on COVID- 19 pandemic. The last time we saw this race ran was in 2019, where Martin Truex Jr. won for the second straight year. Truex Jr. will be starting in the 19th spot and has the second-best odds to win the race +400, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. Chase Elliott has the best odds to win the Toyota Save Mart 350 +200 and the best odds to finish in the top-3 at -160. Last week’s Coca-Cola 600 winner, Kyle Larson holds the pole position this week and is installed at +800 to win his second consecutive race.
There was no qualifying this weekend, but instead NASCAR used a performance-metrics formula. The metric is split into 25 percent comes from a driver’s finishing position from the previous race, 25 percent comes from the car owner’s finishing position from the previous race, 35 percent comes from the team owner’s points ranking, and 15 percent comes from the fastest lap from the previous race.
