Suns vs. Clippers pick against the spread, best player prop for Game 6

We go over some of the best betting options for Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals series between the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns.

This series has been a bit of a roller coaster. After a slugfest in Game 4 in which the Phoenix Suns barely squeaked out a win, we thought they’d be able to close things out at home in Game 5. That wasn’t the case. Paul George stepped up big and had a massive 41-point performance to give the Los Angeles Clippers life in the Western Conference Finals. The Clippers head back to LA down 3-2 in the series but with all the momentum.

Let’s go over the best betting odds for the matchup at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Suns vs. Clippers, 9:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

Pick ATS: Clippers +1 (-112)

So this is essentially a toss-up. With that in mind, it’s hard to have watched Game 5 and not back the Clippers getting a point at home in another elimination game. The Suns just look awful on both ends of the court and it feels like the Clippers are getting under their skin. Devin Booker can’t carry the team. Chris Paul has been off offensively and could still be dealing with wear-and-tear of the playoffs. Deandre Ayton needs to demand the ball more. If Phoenix continues its play from the past two games, we could be heading back to the desert for Game 7.

PG-13 has been huge in this series. He’s also made a few missteps. My lean is Paul George will show up and be a big factor because Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder have done nothing to slow him down. Patrick Beverley is pissing people off. Reggie Jackson has stepped up since Kawhi Leonard went down to provide secondary scoring behind PG-13. Marcus Morris even showed signs of life in Game 5 and he’s a playoff veteran who can get hot from outside.

Player Prop: Chris Paul U8.5 assists (+130)

This is a decent juiced up line if you think the Clippers will contain Paul again. He’s failed to reach 9 assists in back-to-back games and has gone under 8.5 in 8 of 13 playoff games in 2021. The Suns only real path to victory is getting the ball to Ayton more or if Booker can take over. There’s also a reason to believe CP3 will need to do more on offense, which means fewer assist chances. Pat Bev has done a good job on Paul. If you want a safer line, CP3 U1.5 3-pointers is -127; Paul is 0-for-9 the past two games from downtown.
