Thursday’s CONCACAF Nation’s League semifinal matchup between Mexico and Costa Rica will kick-off at 10:00 p.m. ET. The game will take place at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado and air via live stream on Paramount+. There will be no TV option.
Mexico has had one of the most dominant offenses in the Nation’s League so far and has scored 13 goals while allowing only three through four competitions. Three Mexican players have scored multiple goals in the tournament and nine players total have scored. Not having star striker Raul Jimenez because of a skull fracture he suffered during English Premier League Play will hurt Mexico, but it has plenty of other talented options who can make the net bulge. Jose Macias and Rodolfo Pizzaro are among them.
Costa Rica had a much tougher time clearing the group stage and squeaked by with one win and three draws. It scored just four goals and allowed opposing teams to net three. Francisco Calvo is a center back but leads the team in goals with two ahead of the semifinal. Forwards and midfielders will have to get a lot more involved to challenge a powerhouse like Mexico.
