The second installment of the 2021 European Championship’s round of 16 is set for Sunday and four teams will take the pitch in hopes of securing a win to earn a spot in the round of eight. The Netherlands and Czech Republic will get the action started at 12:00 p.m. ET before Belgium and Portugal bring things home at 3:00 p.m. ET. Sports bettors are placing wagers on the matches already at DraftKings Sportsbook. Let’s go over the who the public is backing.

Sunday, June 27 betting splits

Netherlands vs. Czech Republic

Netherlands (-152): 95% handle, 90% bets
Tie (+295): 2% handle, 5% bets
Czech Republic (+440): 3% handle, 4% bets

The Czech Republic only dropped a 1-0 loss to England in the group stage but the public doesn’t seem to have much faith in Patrick Schick and company. The Netherlands have only gotten better with time and secured 2-0 and 3-0 victories to wrap up the group stage after nearly blowing a two-goal lead against Ukraine. The Netherlands scored more than any other team during the group stage and haven't conceded since star center back Matthijs de Ligt returned to the starting lineup. Showing little weakness at full strength makes the favorite seem like the best bet.

Belgium vs. Portugal

Belgium (+143): 67% handle, 59% bets
Tie (+220): 5% handle, 12% bets
Portugal (+215): 28% handle, 29% bets

Belgium is also unbeaten so far and has outscored opponents 7-1 in the tournament. The favorite is loaded with creative players on offense and can go to a variety of places for goal production, but Portugal has mostly depended on the finishing skills on Cristiano Ronaldo. Portugal’s star striker has scored five of the squad’s seven goals. The underdogs proved that they're worth a look after tying France 2-2 in the group stage to secure a place in the round of 16, but Belgium still has an edge because of its abundance of options.
