The Round of 16 action continues on Sunday as we have two big matches on the slate. The red-hot Belgum side will be taking on the reigning UEFA European champions Portugal, while Netherlands faces off against the Czech Republic.
While Belgium is riddled with stars, Romelu Lukaku has been an early standout in this competition, leading the team with three goals in the group stage. The Inter Milan striker has been vital to Belgium and should be expected to continue scoring, especially with the elite service from Kevin De Bruyne, who notched two assists and a goal in just two games played.
On the other side of that match, Cristiano Ronaldo is having a fantastic tournament as he’s already logged five goals and is leading the Golden Boot race. Ronaldo just tied the all-time international goal scoring record as well, as he knocked in two penalty goals in Portugal’s 2-2 draw with France, giving him his 109th international goal, tying the record set by former Iran striker Ali Daei. Ronaldo will be in hot pursuit of breaking that record as well as securing the Golden Boot while looking to secure a second-straight UEFA Euro championship for his country.

While the Belgium-Portugal match-up is expected to be a close and intense affair, the safest bet for Sunday’s slate should be the Netherlands to move on past Czech Republic. The Dutch have an absolutely stacked roster which includes guys like Georginio Wijnaldum, Memphis Depay, Denzel Dumfries, Nathan Ake, Patrick van Aanholt, and plenty more. Wijnaldum is currently leading the scoring with three goals, but Depay has added two goals and two assists as well. They’re favored at -150 while Czech Republic’s odds are set at +450, and that’s probably pretty accurate as to how the game will be played out. Expect Netherlands to cruise through this game and qualify for the quarter finals.
