The Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees will wrap-up their three-game series on Thursday at 1:05 p.m. ET. Brad Keller will be on the mound for the Royals, while the Yankees will give the ball to Jameson Taillon. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Royals vs. Yankees, 1:05 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Yankees -195

After losing the opener on Tuesday 6-5 to the Royals, the Yankees bounced back with a comeback 6-5 victory on Wednesday night. New York will try to finish the series on a high note with Jameson Taillon on the mound. Taillon has struggled on the road, but has been a completely different pitcher at home this season for the Yankees.

The 29-year-old, who possesses an overall record of 1-4 and 5.59 ERA, is 1-1 with a 3.29 ERA in eight home starts this season. Taillon is only allowing opponents to hit .199 at Yankee Stadium this season, despite giving up 7 HRs. However, in his last five home starts, the Yankees have a 1-4 record.

Even if Taillon struggles, the offense should be able to do some damage against Royals starter Brad Keller. Keller enters today’s game with a 6-7 record and 6.34 ERA in 15 starts this season. The 25-year-old has pitched better on the road than at home with a 4.75 ERA, but is allowing a .300 opponents batting average. And not to mention, Keller has not fared well in day games with an ERA of 6.31 and .324 OBA in eight starts. If the Yankees cannot score runs off of Keller, then they have offensive issues. But I think they will get the win at home to close out the three-game set.

Player Prop: Brad Keller under 4.5 strikeouts (+115)

If you do not want to pay the high price of -195 odds on the Yankees ML, then one of the next best plays is Brad Keller under 4.5 strikeouts. The young pitcher is not getting a lot of swings and misses this season, which is great news for the Yankees. Keller has gone under his strikeout prop in 8 out of 15 starts this season, which includes 2 out of his last 4 outings.

Now granted, he is facing a Yankees’ team that is averaging 9.26 strikeouts per game and 9.87 strikeouts at home this season. But they should not have a problem lacing a few hits and stringing some runs together.
