The 2021 NBA Draft Lottery took place at 8:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 22nd to decide the front half of the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. The Detroit Pistons were awarded the No. 1 pick in the first round of the draft following the lottery draw. The Pistons were tied for the best odds to win the No. 1 overall pick at 14 percent, along with the Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets. Here we’re going to take a look at where the Pistons are drafting and who they should look to take.

Who should the Detroit Pistons take with the No. 1 pick?

Cade Cunningham is the consensus top prospect and can fit well with Detroit’s current roster. Big man Evan Mobley will be an intriguing option, but the Pistons have enough up front for the time being to pass on him. Jalen Green is also a choice, but Cunningham is likely the selection for the Pistons.
