Breaking down odds for UEFA Euro 2021 favorites, sleepers after two games of group play

Euro 2020 is into the last leg of the group stage as each team has played two matches in the group so far. Some teams have performed to expectations, like Italy, Belgium and Netherlands while others have underwhelmed, like Spain and Croatia. Here’s where the betting odds stand in each group after two games according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

Group A

Italy has already secured qualification to the knockout stage with two victories in two games and has a chance to win the group with a draw vs. Wales in the final match. Wales would win the group if it beats Italy Monday. Turkey and Switzerland meet in the final game, but only the Swiss have a chance at finishing top 2. Italy is a huge favorite to win the group at -1430. Wales is expected to be second at -1667 for a top 2 finish.

Group B

Belgium is in the knockout stage after Kevin De Bruyne propelled the team to victory over Denmark. One of the favorites to win the tournament is a whopping -10000 to win Group B. Denmark has the best odds of a top 2 finish at -106 despite having zero points. Russia at +125 to finish top 2 offers tremendous value for prospective bettors. Finland is also in the mix at +450 to finish top 2, but will have to find a way to take something from its final match vs. Belgium.

Group C

Netherlands leads Group C with six points in two contests and is the overwhelming favorite to win the group at -400 on the last odds update. Ukraine and Austria play each other in the final match with the winner advancing to the knockout round. Austria is favored in that match and is -240 to finish in the top 2. Ukraine offers value at +130 for the same category. North Macedonia has made things fun, but was ultimately never a threat to make it out of this stage.

Group D

England is the favorite to win Group D at -162, but Czech Republic is the surprise team here at +130 to top the group. It is -590 for a top 2 finish, clearly favored over Croatia and Scotland. At +360 for a top 2 finish, Croatia could have some value for prospective bettors. Scotland needs a lot of things to happen, but there’s still a chance at a top 2 finish (+2900) for the group.

Group E

This group has been a wild ride for fans and bettors alike. Slovakia stunned Poland to open things up before Sweden took points off Spain in a 0-0 draw. Poland and Spain drew 1-1 in the second game, creating the possibility both teams miss out on the knockout stage. Spain is still favored to win the group at -122 and Sweden is the new favorite for the second spot at -200. Poland hasn’t looked convincing, but offers potential value for a top 2 finish at +135. Despite sitting second as of this writing, Slovakia is getting no love. The squad is +1400 to win the group and +380 for a top 2 finish.

Group F

Group F, dubbed the “Group of Death”, has been thrown for a loop with Hungary taking a point off France and Germany destroying Portugal. France and Germany are even favorites to win the group at +100. The latter is heavily expected to finish top 2 at -1250. Portugal is +1700 to win the group and +225 to finish top 2. Both bets carry tremendous value for bettors, given Portugal can pay off on both wagers with a win over France.
