The Dallas Mavericks are reeling a bit after going up 2-0 in this series. They’ve lost two in a row and are faced with a three-game set to decide who advances. Luka Doncic and Maxi Kleber are both probable for Game 5 on Wednesday, so the team is at full strength. There were also reports that Doncic is feeling a lot better after sustaining a cervical strain which had him questionable for Game 4. So the series heads back to LA where Dallas will need to shake off an awful shooting performance. The Mavs shot 16.7 percent (5-30) from 3-point range in Game 4.
The Los Angeles Clippers appear to have the Mavs right where they want them heading back to Staples Center for Game 5. The Clippers put forth a dominant defensive effort over the weekend to tie the series 2-2, holding the Mavs to, well, see above, and 81 points overall. Kawhi Leonard was methodical in posting a 29-10 double-double while also playing lockdown defense.
