The world of cross-sport boxing matches collides with the exhibition world on Saturday at Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico. Former middleweight champ Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. will face off against MMA legend Anderson Silva in a light heavyweight bout. The card will also include an exhibition featuring Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. fighting Hector Camacho Jr.

The main card will start at 9 p.m. ET and is set to broadcast on PPV on FITE.tv. You can buy the fight for $39.99 through the streaming service and livestream through their apps, available on iOS, the Google Play store, Roku players and more.

The two notable fights are not exactly beacons of the future of boxing, but they’ll draw in some eyeballs. The card also features a title fight between Damian Sosa and Abel Mina for the vacant WBO NABO junior middleweight title.

If you’re just looking for “names” we get a couple of sorts with family members of Canelo Alvarez getting some exposure. Canelo’s brother Ramon will fight Omar Chavez in a middlewight bout. Alvarez is 28-8-3 in his career and last fought in August 2019 when Erislandy Lara knocked him out in the second round. Canelo’s nephew Johan is making his pro debut against Erick Hernandez.

Maybe we call this the nepotism card?
