We have a loaded 15-game slate in the majors on Wednesday, which means there are still multiple opportunities to come away with a win in DraftKings baseball DFS. The main slate has 8 games starting at 7:05 p.m. ET
Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.
Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on Wednesday, June 16th.
Rangers vs. Astros, 8:10 p.m. ET
Jose Altuve (5,600)
Carlos Correa ($4,800)
Michael Brantley ($3,900)
Our first team stack will be the Houston Astros, who will wrap-up their two-game set with the Texas Rangers on Wednesday night. DraftKings Sportsbook has the run total currently set at 9, which is one of the highest totals on the board. The Astros will be going up against Texas starting pitcher Jordan Lyles, who is 2-4 with an ERA of 5.37 in 13 starts this season.
Lyles has been crushed by right-handed hitters, allowing them to hit .318/.353/.548 with 9 HRs and 24 RBI. Jose Altuve is a must-add for this team stack as he’s slugging .333 with 1 HR in 9 at-bats against Lyles. The veteran second baseman has recorded a hit in four out of the Astros’ last five games.
Diamondbacks vs. Giants, 9:45 p.m. ET
Buster Posey ($4,700)
Mike Yastrzemski ($4,600)
Donovan Solano ($3,600)
After scoring nine runs on Tuesday night in a comeback win against the Diamondbacks, the Giants will try to duplicate that performance versus the worst team in the majors. San Francisco is going up against Arizona starter Merrill Kelly, who has struggled on the road with a record of 1-4, 6.13 ERA, and .279 opponents batting average. This team stack might end up being the cheapest on the slate, which could afford you to play one or two big priced players.
Red Sox vs. Braves
Ronald Acuna Jr. ($5,900)
Freddie Freeman ($5,100)
Austin Riley ($4,900)
To wrap up our team stacks for Wednesday, we are going to go back to the Boston Red Sox and Atlanta Braves. We highlighted the Braves for Tuesday’s main slate stacks, which scored 29 fantasy points. We are going to stay with Atlanta, who will be going up against Red Sox pitcher Garrett Richards.
Richards has struggled recently as he has not won four outings since May 19. This season, both right and left-handed are hitting well against Richards at a .288 and .284 clip. Acuna and Freeman are both on multi-game hitting streaks heading into the series finale. Freeman is averaging 11.6 fantasy points per game in his last five games. Meanwhile, Acuna is scoring 13 fantasy points per game in his last four contests.
