There are six games on the early slate for Wednesday, with the first game beginning at 2:10 p.m. ET between the Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers. We are going to go over some top options on DraftKings and give out a few value picks to help you build your lineup.
Top Pitchers
Freddy Peralta, Brewers vs. Reds ($10,300) — The 25-year-old starting pitcher has been a strikeout machine for the Brewers this season and one of the better starters in the majors. He has a 6-1 record, 2.25 ERA, and 98 strikeouts in only 68 IP.
Peralta is the highest-priced arm on the board as he prepares to face the Reds for the third time this season. In his first two starts against Cincinnati, the right-handed pitcher scored 16.6 and 16.3 fantasy points. This season, he’s averaging 21.7 fantasy points per game and 27.3 fantasy points in his last three starts.
Lucas Giolito, White Sox vs. Rays ($9,900) — While all the attention has been on Lance Lynn and Carlos Rodon for the White Sox this season, Giolito is slowly starting to turn his season around, which is great news for fans and DFS players. The right-handed pitcher has a 2.38 ERA in his last five starts and also averaging 28.8 DKFP. Also, over that time, Giolito has been producing a good amount strikeouts with 9.2 per game.
Top Hitters
Jesse Winker, Reds vs. Brewers ($5,900) — If you have not played Winker in DFS yet this season, then I don’t know what you are waiting for. The Reds veteran outfielder has been one of the best outfielders/hitters in baseball this season. Winker is hitting .344 with 17 HRs, 41 RBI, 1.048 OPS, and averaging 10.7 DKFP. In his last five games, the 27-year-old outfielder is producing 8.2 fantasy points per game.
Salvador Perez, Royals vs. Tigers ($5,100) — Perez is playing at an All-Star level and is the best catcher in baseball right now. The veteran is hitting .285 with 16 HRs, 43 RBI, .842 OPS, and averaging 8.0 DKFP this season. In his last five games, Perez is averaging 11 FPPG, which would be up there with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Fernando Tatis Jr., and Jesse Winker. He’s a no-doubt must-start in DFS.
Value Pitcher
Tarik Skubal, Tigers vs. Royals ($7,000) — If you do not want to spend a lot of your salary cap on Giolito or Peralta, then Skubal is a solid value option at pitcher. The Tigers starting pitcher has put together five solid outings for Detroit, where he’s gone at least 5.0 IP. Also, over that time, Skubal is averaging 24.3 fantasy points per game, which is above his season average of 14.1 FPPG.
Value Hitter
Adam Frazier, Pirates vs. Nationals ($3,900) — Frazier is currently in the running to be starting at second base for the National League in the All-Star as he’s been one of the Pirates’ best players this season. The 29-year-old is slugging an incredible .331 with 2 HRs, 24 RBI, .860 OPS, and averaging 8.1 fantasy points per game. He has recorded a hit in 7 out of the last 10 games.
