The 2021 NBA Playoffs are into the middle of June and the Conference Finals are fast approaching. It appears this season that a championship is going to be wide open. After being the clear favorite for most of the season, the Brooklyn Nets are now without two key superstars in their second-round series vs. the Milwaukee Bucks. We’ve also got a few other series that could go either way. Let’s take a look at the rest of the field and which teams are in the conference finals.
The Phoenix Suns have already clinched a spot in the Western Conference Finals, completing a four-game sweep of the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night. It’s the first time the Suns are in the conference finals since 2010. The Nuggets lost MVP Nikola Jokic to an ejection in the third quarter and were unable to overcome the deficit in the fourth.
The Suns will await the winner of the Los Angeles Clippers-Utah Jazz series. Utah enters Monday leading the series 2-1 with Game 4 in LA coming up. This series could end up going the distance or the Jazz can go back to Utah in Game 5 to clinch the series. The flip side in the East we’ve got the Philadelphia 76ers with a 2-1 lead over the Atlanta Hawks in their second-round series. The Sixers can take a commanding lead with a win in Game 4 on Monday night. Here’s a look at the latest bracket.
