We go over some of the best betting options for Saturday’s matchup between the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies.

The New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies will start a quick two-game series at 4:05 p.m. ET. Jameson Taillon will be on the mound for the Yankees, while the Phillies will start Vince Velasquez. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Yankees vs. Phillies, 4:05 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Phillies +114

The Phillies will try to ride the momentum of back-to-back series wins when they play the Yankees at 4:05 p.m. ET. Philadelphia has won 4 out of their last 5 games, while the Yankees have only won 2 out of their last 5 games. In their last three games, the Phillies’ pitching has been tremendous with a 2.67 ERA. Anytime you can get that type of production on the mound, you will be in a lot of games.

Philadelphia is hoping that Vince Velasquez can continue that trend after two consecutive rough starts, where he had an ERA of 11.57. However, Velasquez has pitched well at home with a 4.80 ERA and opponents batting average of .200 in five games (2 starts). We will find out early in this game, if Velasquez has it under control or if this will be a bullpen game. If it the latter, then that’s great news for the Yankees, who have Jameson Taillon on the mound. Taillon has pitched well in his most recent starts, unlike Velasquez, to a 3.52 ERA. But he has not done well on the road with a 9.18 ERA in four road starts. New York has a 1-3 road record when Taillon is pitching.

Player Prop: Vince Velasquez under 5.5 strikeouts (+111)

We do not know what to expect from these pitchers on Saturday afternoon. Both could be on their A-games or they will have short outings. Between the two, Velasquez might be a better play, especially if he runs into trouble. The 29-year-old starter has gone under 5.5 strikeouts in 9 out of 12 appearances this season. However, he’s facing a Yankees team that averages 9.14 strikeouts per game, but only had 4.67 strikeouts in their last three games.
