In the co-main event title bout at flyweight for UFC 263, Deiveson Figueiredo will fight Brandon Moreno Saturday night live from Glendale, AZ and available on ESPN+ PPV. This bout is a rematch of the title fight from UFC 256, which was ruled a majority draw.
The 33-year-old Figueiredo heads into Saturday’s championship bout with a professional fighting record of 20-1-1 and champion of the flyweight class. He also is ranked 10th in the men’s pound-for-pound rankings.
The draw against Moreno was the first of the Brazilian mixed martial artist’s career after winning five straight bouts. And unlike Figueiredo, he absorbs more strikes at 2.94 per minute, and defends against them at 63%. When it comes to grappling, the 5-foot-7 fighter has a 1.75 takedown average, with an accuracy of 40%. Moreno’s takedown defense is at 69%, while his submission average per 15 minutes is 0.54.
